Plastic Injection Moulding For Electronics
Europhils operates plastic injection moulding for electronics within our own Cebu facility, producing enclosures, housings and injection moulded components for the products we manufacture.
With tooling made in our own toolroom and moulding running alongside our SMD lines and assembly, the move from design to moulded part is a single in-house process, controlled by one team and managed to European quality standards.
What Is Injection Moulding For Electronics?
Injection moulding is the standard process for producing plastic parts at volume. Molten polymer is injected under pressure into a precision-machined mould, cooled and ejected, producing identical parts with excellent repeatability and low unit cost. For electronic products, this is how enclosures, housings, buttons, brackets, light guides and internal mechanical parts are made.
Electronics enclosure moulding has demands beyond general plastics work: precise fits around PCBs and connectors, cosmetic surfaces that represent your brand, flame-rated materials, and features like bosses, snap fits and inserts that must assemble reliably at volume. Most electronics manufacturers buy plastic electronic parts from separate moulding shops, adding a supplier interface and a gap in quality responsibility.
At Europhils, moulding is in-house; the mould comes from our own toolroom, the parts run metres from the assembly line that will use them, and one team is accountable for fit, finish and function.
For new product development, plastic injection is one part of our wider ODM manufacturing process, tooled and run in-house from day one.
Injection moulding with Europhils is the right fit when:
- Your product needs enclosures, housings or mechanical parts alongside its electronics, and you want one accountable manufacturer
- You are moving production from China and want moulding and assembly to move together, not separately
- You need consistent cosmetic and dimensional quality, verified against European expectations
- You want in-house manufacturing control, with tooling, moulding and assembly under one roof
- You need volumes from pilot batches through to ongoing mass production

What Makes Europhils The Right Moulding Partner?
For an electronic product, moulding is not a standalone purchase. It has to fit, literally, with everything else. These are the factors that matter.
- Tooling, moulding and assembly in one building. When a part and an enclosure need adjusting to fit, the toolmaker, the moulding technician and the assembly engineer solve it together, on-site, the same week.
- European quality standards on cosmetic parts. Surface finish and colour consistency are judged against European expectations, managed by our French management team, not left to interpretation.
- No subcontracted moulding. Your parts are produced by our own team on our own machines. One contract, one relationship, one team accountable.
- A practical alternative to China. Moving assembly out of China while leaving moulding behind recreates the supply chain problem you are trying to solve. At Europhils, both move together.
- Design input before the tool is cut. Mould corrections are expensive; design reviews are not. We check every part for manufacturability before steel is committed.
- Transparent communication. Our France office keeps you informed and consulted at every decision point affecting your product, timeline or budget.

- MOULDING PROJECT PROCESS
How a Moulding Project Works with Europhils
1. Design input: You share your part designs and requirements, or our engineers develop the mechanical design as part of a wider project.
2. Design for moulding review: We assess each part for draft, wall thickness, gating and finish, and agree any adjustments before tooling begins.
3. Material selection: Polymer, colour and finish are agreed against your functional, cosmetic and regulatory requirements.
4. Tool design and manufacture: The mould is designed and built in our own toolroom, working directly from the approved mechanical design.
5. Tool trial and first shots: Initial mouldings are produced, measured and reviewed against the design.
6. Sample approval: Reference samples are agreed with you, defining the cosmetic and dimensional standard for production.
7. Production moulding: Volume moulding runs with documented, controlled process parameters and in-process inspection.
8. Integration with assembly: Moulded parts flow directly into final assembly within the same facility.
9. Ongoing tool care: Moulds are maintained, stored and repaired on-site, protecting your investment for the life of the product.
Ready to Discuss Your Moulding Requirements?
If your product needs enclosures or moulded components, or your current moulding sits in a supply chain you want to simplify, we would welcome the opportunity to review your parts and explain how we would approach the project.
